A pulse counter only counts increments and loses data if it misses a pulse or is disconnected. OMS and wireless M-Bus telegrams carry the meter’s actual register value plus alarms, so reads stay accurate after outages and events such as leaks or reverse flow are reported.
Can existing pulse-based sub-metering be upgraded?
