REPORTING & ALERT MONITORING
Reduce water loss with alerts and notifications
Automated monitoring and alerts improve response times and reduce water loss from leaks and bursts. Active reporting also helps assess meter performance, enabling timely upgrades to minimise apparent water loss.

Minimise water loss
Early detection helps minimise water loss, saving resources and reducing costs.
Increase operational efficiency
Streamlined monitoring and reporting improves response times and operational efficiency.
Improve billing accuracy
Consistent meter performance ensures precise billing, preventing revenue loss.
SOLUTIONS
Monitoring empowers utilities to make informed decisions
Leak and burst detection
Our solution identifies leaks and burst pipes through scheduled monitoring and data analysis. This proactive approach ensures that irregularities are detected early, enabling municipalities to act before issues become costly, and helping conserve water.

Efficient resource allocation
With scheduled monitoring and reporting, our system provides municipalities with insights into which areas need attention. This allows for more effective resource management, ensuring repairs and upgrades are prioritised where they are most needed.
Data-driven meter performance evaluation
By continuously analysing the performance of meters across the network, our solution helps municipalities identify and replace degrading meters. This ensures accurate data collection and supports better decision-making for upgrades, reducing waste and ensuring optimal system performance.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What the alerts and reports in Aura tell you, and how they help reduce water loss.
How does digital metering detect leaks?
Continuous flow through a customer meter, especially overnight, indicates a leak. Interval reads from digital meters let Aura flag properties with continuous flow, unusually high consumption or pressure drops and raise an alert before the next bill is issued.
What alerts can the platform send?
Leak and burst alerts, high-consumption alerts, water pressure drops, unread-meter reports and device alarms from the metering modules. Alerts appear in the Aura portal and can be sent to the people responsible for the site or network.
What is non-revenue water?
Non-revenue water (NRW) is water a utility treats and supplies but never bills, whether through leaks, meters that under-register at low flow, or unbilled use. Accurate digital reads and low-flow detection reduce the metering component of NRW.
Can customers see their own water use?
Yes. Data Drop provides a client portal with consumption data, analytics and reports, and meter data can be shared with both the utility and the consumer.
How often is meter data updated?
It depends on the reading method. Fixed-network devices such as Mac-IQ report on a schedule and immediately when an incident such as a leak is detected; walk-by and drive-by reads are uploaded when the route is completed.
